So here's how to compress SWF files with SWF Compressor by Eltima
1. Download Flash Optimizer right from this page and install it on your computer following easy and familiar installation steps.
2. Choose whether you want to compress one SWF file or many of them at once by switching to the corresponding tab. Then either browse for the one SWF file you are going to compress or add the multiple tasks to the tasks list.

3. Select the folder where you want compressed movies to be saved to and in case you are compressing one file, select the new name for it. By default "opt" suffix will be added to original file name.
4. For your convenience Flash Optimizer features selection of predefined optimization settings: Sprite, Medium, Basic, Good and Best. Just select one of them and you are good to start optimizing. You also have an option to load Custom optimization settings if you already have ones and saved them to a file before. And if you feel like digging deeper into each setting, just press the arrow down and you will be able to choose more profound and fine settings up to your needs.

5. After all settings are applied you can preview the output before starting the compression itself. Press "Preview compression" button to see the file details and compare the original file with the compressed one.


6. Press "Compress" button to start optimization process.
